Buena ubicacion, excelente atencion, y buenas intalaciones. El hotel aunque es viejo, las habitaciones estan remodeladas, y lo mejor es que secencuentra ubicado frente al centro de convenciones y alrededor hay muy buenis restaurantes.
It's a great hotel except for the sheets. They are clean but old. I confess to being a sheet snob. My husband said they were fine, but I think they've seen the end of their useful lifespan and need to be replaced. That said, the hotel is a good one. Biggest plus for me was the number of electrical outlets and the location of them. It made charging all our multitude of phones, etc., very easy. The breakfast in the lobby was also very good. Better than what I've had at Residence Inn. Location to downtown is great and to Baylor. Good hotel.
Overall a nice establishment with great service. We had a great experience with our stay during Baylor's move-in week. Though it was very busy , the staff handled everything with the utmost of courtesy, professionalism, and caring. Nicely done, Courtyard team! :) There are two minor suggestions....the baths were cramped and may be in need of some updating/refreshing. The room stayed humid and despite running the a/c all night, the humidity didn't seem to wane. A great stay in general! Thank you! :)
Stayed at this hotel for two nights in July 2013. situated directly across the street from the Waco Convention Center. Several restaurants are walking distance away. Nice pool. Clean rooms. Coffee available in the lobby all day. Excellent desk staff. Gave great recommendations for dinner.
The staff was super friendly. The room was updated and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great. Unfortunately, the pool was dirty. I had been looking forward to getting in all day. I got in and only then realized how cloudy it was. That happens and I understand, but there was a black ring around the top edge of the pool that needs tending. It really disappointed me. I got out and took a shower, which, at least, was a really good shower.
I was very impressed with the hotel this time. I had stayed here 5 years ago. The room I was in had been refurnished and updated. I enjoyed going outside to the courtyard and having my morning coffee. My room was by the pool. The room was spotless and bathroom floor clean enough to eat off of. Bed had a great mattress and front desk clerks were very helpful. No complaints do I have. Five star rating for this hotel from me.
This courtyard is an old building that Marriott has tried to renovate. The ac system is old, my hotel room door handle didn't work properly, and the 3rd floor hallway was not air conditioned in June. This made it smell bad as well. Be uncomfortable. The good news is the service staff was helpful and energetic. There was a chef to make omlettes each morning and they were excellent. The location is great, walk to restaurants and the convention center. I wouldn't choose to stay here again but I would stay here again.
I have always liked this hotel. I always stay at this Courtyard Marriott when ever I stay in Waco. This time they went above and beyond. I needed to change from a single room to a dougle room. I didn't get in until late and they had the key already for me. I thought that was wonderful of them. Then I forgot my very expensive perscription classes in the room. I called them, they found my glasses and they are sending them overnight to me and paying for it. Now that's customer service. Thank you Marriott!!!
This review went from a 4 to a 5 because of the way their staff handled a few small problems. The A/C didn't work perfectly (it did cool fine, but the "fan" control wasn't working as it should); there was only coffee service for 1 (should have been 2); the iron was missing (but we didn't need to use it). I let the front desk know of these things just as a courtesy, not as a complaint. While my wife and I were having breakfast (not included, but excellent quality) the front desk clerk found us to make sure we both received complimentary breakfasts (a $20 value) to compensate us for the small "inconvenience." Not bad, since I made it clear I wasn't complaining. Good customer PR. The hotel is mid-priced, clean as a whistle, and has a bar for beer, wine and mixed drinks with several large TVs (but no dinner food per se, though there is a snack store by the front desk where frozen dinners like mac 'n' cheese and snacks are available). A pleasant mixed crowd hangs there with drinks an
Had a 5 night stay planned to visit Baylor College. Excellent location for the college, conference center and museums. The desk clerks were very helpful with information and directions. We stayed 3 nights and then moved on to visIt friends north of Waco. Made a reservation to come back for a one night stay on Friday. Questioned the clerk why the price quoted for Friday was higher than my Saturday thru Monday stay. Was told price is based on availability. I thought that wasn't fair. During our 3 day stay we has a stained bath towel (looked like makeup) left in our room. I took It to the front desk and they didn't seem concerned in the least. Also the sheets Do Not fIt the mattresses. On our Friday night stay, my daughter decided to use the pool. When we went to put her swim suit In the on site dryer, someone was using it. I asked at the desk if there was a laundromat close by as I didn't want to pack a wet swimsuit in our suitcase for our Saturday flight home. The
