I checked into the hotel June 26th around 1130 pm. About 2 hours before that, I received a phone call from the front desk clerk saying she has charged my card that I had used to hold the reservation. She informed me that she did that so I can just come in and sign it and get the card to my room. That helped out a lot, as I had been driving since 8:30 that morning. The next morning, I went and got breakfast there. They provided the local newspaper, and the breakfast was not bad at all. Pastries, sausage, coffee, and a variety of juices was provided. Later in the morning, me and my friend decided we wanted to stay at the hotel an extra day. The owner was real courteous about extending the stay, even giving us the discount that was only supposed to be used once. He also gave us a map of the area and what attractions were around and the best times to visit. The next morning upon check-out, he asked if everything was alright. I told him that it was a great stay for us. The room was decent sized for two people. The bed was the right size as well, and very comfortable. They had updated the bathrooms recently, as a new tub was in the room. I would definitely recommend this place.
Address makes the hotel difficult to find. Would have been better to give out GPS coordinates. Had a hard time finding the hotel - even WITH a GPS unit.... The room is standard motel standard. The out-door pool was nice. Several restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast a bit on the "Spartan" side. We discovered a few insects (beetles) in our first floor room. I reported it to the receptionist. She, however, stated that they were doing all they could do about the insects so I got the distinct impression that nothing would be done about the problem.
We were traveling with our daughter and her young daughter. Our room was clean and very attractive and roomy. The breakfast was very good. The staff was helpful and courteous. We would stay there again.
We arrived late on our first night and the lady at the front desk was extremely friendly. The room was very clean and the air conditioner worked very well. The only complaints would be the beds are kind of hard and the toilet didn't have a lid. Other that that, we enjoyed our stay. Most likely will stay again.
Hotel is very close to Baylor Campus so if you're visitng your son or daughter for the weekend and need somplace near campus that is a good value, this hotel will work. I did not partake of the free breakfast while there so I can't comment on that. Bathrooms could use some updating as could the rooms overall, TV's are ancient. However, staff very friendly and helpful. Great access to and from I-35.
Don't overlook this hotel. I'm one that prefers interior entrances but at the cost this was the best one for our budget. We were well pleased - rooms are older BUT clean, comfortable beds, AC and heat unit works well, and the staff at check in and check out was incredibly friendly and helpful! Didn't get to breakfast but it is available. The hotel sits at the road but we had no issues with traffic noise. Parking lot was well lit. Great room for a great value!
On our way to San Antonio we stopped in Waco and found the Hotel close to the Highway. Unfortunately our room was in the front and the noise of the traffic was nerve-wracking. Additionally the beds are very hard and the room smelled strange. In relation to the price you will find better hotels in the area.
I don't know how I found this place, but I'm glad I did. I paid $60 bucks with tax for a double queen non smoking room. When you include the super friendly front desk with the fact that the room was only $60 bucks for two queen beds, you have a good start. Then, the AC worked great, icy cold over night. All outlets worked, all utilities worked, shower was fine, plenty of hot water. This is a great place to stop, even for a little more money. Only negative is the breakfast was very underwhelming. I would hope for a just a bit more selection.
This ia an older but rennovated hotel. Rooms are big and comfy. Indoor pool and waffle style breakfast and such a great price. Easy acces to resturuants on drag or 84. Great service. Easy check in and again good value.
This hotel is a piece of crap. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to no one. They charger you unnecessary rates and the palce is fallen apart. The bathroom has mold and dark spot in the rooms. The customer service lie about prices when its only $64.99 a night for two adults but they charger you $149.99 for this one night.
