This hotel must have improved its breakfast facilities after previous bad reviews, as our breakfast was quite acceptable, with a choice of cereal, coffee, different teas, 2 juices, as well as several types of croissants and pastries, butter, soft cheese, ham, and different flavoured jams and chocolate spread. There was also a choice of yoghurt and stewed fruit, as well as little packs of biscuits and French toast. The family room we stayed in was clean and presentable, and had an unusual attic extension where there was an extra bed. We found the beds very comfortable, with thick duvets and pillows, and the decor in the bar and reception area was very pleasant. There are a few shops, restaurants and supermarkets a short walk away, and with easy access into Paris, this is a well-located hotel.
The hotel was basic but decent enough for the low leger price,,,,on the minus side the breakfast isnt worth getting out of bed early and a small beer in the bar is 4 euros ,on the plus side..the hotel is situated in a nice part of paris with plenty of bars and restaurants close by . The leger trip itself was pretty good whilst on the continent,,but the faffing about doing a tour of England on the drop off and pick ups has put me off using leger again for any trips which is a pity because when we got to france everything was excellent,,,but i cant face the overlong journey down to and up from Dover .
My room smells of deep heat and the hotel location is very poor for, well, anything really. No restaurant and bar is very basic. Room dated and rather sparse, laughable tacky furniture. Someone call the police because this is daylight robbery.
Stayed at this hotel as part of a Leger Paris break in April 2013. Hotel on outskirts of Paris situated in a small town with a fair amount of shops to look around and a handful of restaurants. Hotel itself was basic. Room very basic but clean and with a newly installed bathroom.Staff in hotel quite surly and not very helpfull or informative. The breakfast was possibly the very worst we have been offered in any hotel. It consisted of half a french bagette and one croissant already plated on your table with a choice of plastic ham and nothing else. No cheese,no eggs, no jam,no pastries, no yoghurt or fruit! The only good thing at breakfast was the coffee. We appreciate the hotel was only 2* and we knew we were only getting a continental breakfast, but this was an insult..I certainly would not stay in this hotel again and suggest Leger holidays should consider using another hotel as I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Stayed here on Ledger break April 2013. Room basic but very clean. Breakfast worst weve had on any similar tour. One croissant and piece of French bread laid out on a plate. Plastic ham. No jam, no eggs, no fruit., no cheese. We bought our own jam and cheese. Coffee was good. Apart from our first night the staff were almost surly. Very poor English and no local knowledge. Often desk was unmanned. Told we couldn't get local transport into Paris, and then saw buses doing just that. Tour split between two hotels, so we were hanging about waiting for tour bus most days. Drivers cheerful, but little information given re places of interest. Forced to take Ledger tours as we were told we couldn't get into Paris under own steam. Not true. Hotel staff didn't know what time breakfast was served and drivers not very informative. Have used Ledger before and had excellent service so very disappointed. I would not recommend this hotel or tour to anyone.
Stayed here for 3 nights on a Leger coach break, hotel was a pleasant surprise, Room was very spacious with more than enough room for 3 adults. Beds were clean & comfortable, with the sheets and towels changed regularly. Breakfast was the standard continental fare and the bar could do with re-stocking as the choice was very limiting. The staff were so helpful and friendly, we wanted tickets to see Moulin Rouge which they rang up to book for us, unfortunately it was full but they told the hotel to ring back at 2pm to see if there had been any cancellations. The hotel not only rang the Moulin back but rang our mobile to tell us they had tickets for us, they never charged us for any of these calls. Although the hotel is several miles from Paris it is right in the middle of a pretty little town, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Would stay here again without a doubt !
this hotel is now known as the inter hotel, my sister and i went on this trip with Leger, We had a great time, both drivers on the trip were great, we went on trips out and we could,nt of asked for more, drivers names were graham and spencer, two brill people, this trip was money well spent, the night man at the hotel was very nice, all in all a great holiday, room was clean, breakfast ok, beds made evertday and clean towels,
Again, as other reviewers we stayed here as part of a 'Leger' coach tour. Before going we had read the comments and thought what have we left ourselves in for ?, but the hotel was clean, beds were comfortable and towels changed every day. Ok, the breakfast was basic, plenty of juice and lovely coffee. There were other 'coach parties' booked in and there was a mix up with times, perhaps one room for each party and a few more staff would have helped resolve the issue. The hotel also has a small bar and lounge where several of us met for a relaxing coffee or drink after our days out in either Versailles or Paris. The hotel receptionist we think also looks after the bar but service was not that bad. There's also a bar opposite; neither were cheap but this is PARIS ! We would have liked to arrived a little earlier to have a look around the town, turn right out of the hotel and turn right again and follow the road down. Several little shops, patisseries, restaurants and bars. Turn lef
First of all, they put me in a room in the attic so I had to carry all my luggage up stairs after getting off the elevator. The ceilings in the room were slanted and I could barely stand up, except in the middle of the room. The shower had no curtain and a handheld shower curtain, but no hook - so it is necessary to hold it in your hand the entire time. One guy at the front desk was very rude when I politely asked him for ice. He said that they have 85 rooms and they can't give everyone so much ice (so much ice = more than a small cup full). He was very rude and acted like I was asking him for gold or something expensive. Even though the website indicates free wi-fi, the girl said , well it is free, but only for the first hour. After that it is 26 euro a week. Very bad experience - we had to switch to a decent hotel after all these problems.
Acceptable, but more a two and one half star rather than a three. As the Cardinal Hotel this was ostensibly about the best hotel in Rueil Center in the past but it is suffering under Quality's ownership and badly needs updating. It enjoys a good central location close to some decent restaurants and brasseries and not too far from the RER station. We were visiting friends in Rueil and wanted to be close to them but I wouldn't recommend the place as a base for visiting the city itself.
